Citilink, a strategic business unit (SBU) of Garuda Indonesia began to realize the planned expansion of new routes. On June 4, 2010, the airline will open Jakarta-Denpasar route using Boeing 737-300 which granted the parent business.

According to Director of Strategy and Information Technology Garuda Indonesia, Elisa Lumbantoruan, Citilink choose to open flights to Denpasar for the solid route passengers. "We are targeting its load factor could reach 80 percent of each flight," said Elisa, in Jakarta, Wednesday (02/06/2010).
He Jakarta-Denpasar flight ensure not only opened to anticipate the peak season school holidays. However, Citilink will fly this route regularly. "We also have coordinated with the Ministry of Transportation," said Elisa.
Previously Assistant Director Commercial of Garuda Indonesia, Joseph Saul explains, this year, Garuda would grant a classic series of eight Boeing for use Citilink. Consisting of three units of five units 737-400 and 737-300.
Citilink will leverage an additional four aircraft to develop new routes. In addition to Jakarta-Denpasar, Citilink will also open a route from Jakarta to Pekanbaru, Jakarta, Padang and Jakarta-Balikpapan.
Currently, Citilink already serves six domestic routes. Namely Surabaya-Jakarta, Surabaya, Banjarmasin, Surabaya, Balikpapan, Surabaya, Ujung Pandang, Surabaya, Batam and Jakarta-Medan.
The airline is targeting 1.2 million passengers in 2010 using five aircraft types Boeing 737-300 and 737-400 aircraft in which three of them were leased and two were given Garuda Indonesia.
